Daniel de Vise will speak about and sign his new book, The Comeback: Greg LeMond, the True King of American Cycling, and a Legendary Tour de France, on Saturday, July 7 at 2:00 pm. at the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame at 303 Third Street in Central Park in downtown Davis.

About the Book:

In July 1986, Greg LeMond stunned the sporting world by becoming the first American to win the Tour de France. Barely two years after a serious hunting accident, he again won the Tour by the almost impossibly narrow margin of 8 seconds. It remains the closest Tour de France in history.

Daniel de Vise will share anecdotes, answer questions, sign copies and read from his new book, The Comeback: Greg LeMond, the True King of American Cycling, and a Legendary Tour de France. The Comeback chronicles the life of one of America’s greatest athletes, from his roots in the windswept hills of Nevada's Washoe Valley to the heights of his global fame at the Tour de France.  It also reveals the dramatic, competitive inner world of a sport rarely glimpsed up close, and builds a compelling case for LeMond as its great American hero.

Admission to this “Tireside Chat” book event at the U.S. is free.

The Comeback will be available for sale onsite through The Avid Reader bookstore.  Saturday, July 7 is Day 1 of the 2018 Tour de France.
